Start with Sowar and Salla: from connection to one approved product image

Connect the right store, sync one product, review its image and check the upload destination and main-image choice before expanding the workflow.

Take one product all the way to the storefront

To start with Sowar and Salla, verify the correct store connection, sync your products and choose one with a clear reference photo. Generate one image, compare it with the original, then upload the approved version to the intended product. The test ends when the correct image appears on the product page—not when an output appears in Sowar.

Choose a mug, jar or another item whose details you know. Keep its original photo and check the displayed operation cost and available credits before generating. You do not need to prepare the whole catalogue or configure every brand setting to test this workflow.

1. Check the store before syncing

Install or open Sowar through the Salla app marketplace, then sign in to your account. In the Salla section of the Sowar dashboard, check the store name, connection status and selected workspace. If you manage several stores, do not rely on the email address alone to identify the upload destination.

If the store is not connected, complete the connection flow shown in the app first. If a different store appears, stop before syncing or uploading. A successful operation in the wrong store is not a successful test.

2. Sync and choose the correct reference

Run product sync when you want to refresh the list. When it finishes, check the product name and image, not just the product count. Open image generation from the intended product and inspect the reference before proceeding. If it lacks a clear photo, prepare a suitable original rather than relying on a text description that may not represent the item accurately.

For products with variants, match the colour, size and included accessories to the option you intend to show. Syncing makes product data available to work with; it does not mean new images have been uploaded to the store.

Open a first-image brief

Prepared editorial example, not an output generated for this guide: “Place the mug from the reference photo on a pale surface with soft daylight. Preserve its glaze colour, handle and rim. Keep the whole mug visible, without text or added accessories.”

Adapt the brief to your actual product. Asking for preserved details does not guarantee accuracy; comparison with the original is still necessary.

3. Approve the result before uploading

Open the image large enough to inspect it. Compare shape, colour, labels and edges with the original. For a mug, inspect the handle joints and rim; for a jar, read the label and check the lid. Reject an image that changes what the buyer will receive, even if the background looks good.

4. Check the destination and main-image choice

In the upload-to-Salla dialog, review the displayed image and selected product name, even if the app preselected it. Select the main-image option only when you intend to change the image representing the product. Leave it unselected when adding a supporting image.

After a successful upload, open the product in Salla and then its storefront page as a buyer would. Check the image, ordering and mobile crop. Keep the original reference; do not delete the old image before verifying the new result.

Expand only after the complete test

Once one product has passed the whole workflow, record the scene, aspect ratio and review checks, then move to a small group of similar items. Check current plans and operation costs in the app rather than assuming unlimited generation or editing.

Check filenames and alt text before publishing, or see current plans.
